Compared with his Book I, the rhythms are less complex, but the counterpoint is, if anything, more intense harmonically. For Intermediate to Advanced players: 2 trebles, two alto/tenors (alternate clefs), and bass. D'India was regarded as the equal, if not superior to, Monteverdi, and these madrigals make their best effect with one or more voices added to the viol group. Score only: $17.00.
