CIRCA was commissioned in 1996 for American Baroque as part of the Common Sense Composers' Collective 3rd Annual Collaboration Project. It can be heard on the CD "The Shock of the Old" (Santa Fe New Music CD000513. The style is "post-minimalist", in which the ascetic dryness of minimalism is warmed by more grateful melodic and harmonic touches.
