In his last year, Hingeston put together most of his music for viols and organ and donated it to the Music School in Oxford. After his death, the organ parts (only!) of several more suites (and some of the already donated suites) were acquired. All are now held by the Bodleian Library. Harold Owen has reconstructed the viol parts for all 8 of these hitherto unperformed suites, six for the rich combination of treble and 2 bass viols, one for treble, tenor and bass, and a superb piece for 2 trebles and 2 basses.
