String Quartet No. 2, "Musée Mécanique" (score)

Nathaniel Stookey's second string quartet, composed in 2002 appears in print to coincide with a new CD (Troy 717: Albany Records) containing his two string quartets, performed by the Ciompi Quartet; and "Sonatina for Sam" (solo cello), all three published by PRB. The subtitle refers to the famous museum of antique mechanical instruments in San Francisco, whose characteristics influence the music.
